GUI freezes with BECFigure ImageItem

From the RPC interface, it seems that the GUI freezes if an ImageItem is within the GUi.

It looks as if it is stuck in here https://gitlab.psi.ch/bec/bec_widgets/-/blob/main/bec_widgets/cli/client_utils.py?ref_type=heads#L208
