reading H5Block formatted field-maps crashes
if the size of the field-map in z-direction is less than the number of cores, reading the field-map crashes.
This is already fixed in OPAL 2.0: see 0172837a and #292 (closed)

@snuverink_j #292 (closed) was the fix for OPAL-2.0. This fixes the same bug plus some cleanup.

Aha, thanks. In my opinion it would be better not to duplicate the issue but to have a single issue with multiple merge requests.

@snuverink_j agree, but someone deleted the branch and more important #292 (closed) was not a fix applicable to the master - there was the main stuff missing. #292 (closed) was a fix to a fix...
