https://gitlab.psi.ch/OPAL/src/blob/master/CMakeLists.txt#L76 defines the preprocessor variable. That should be removed as well.

Also just out of curiosity, what does this line do:

add_definitions (-Drestrict=__restrict__ -DNOCTAssert)
