revert changes from makeUpperCaseString to makeString otherwise the user always has to use upper case in order for Opal to find the string constants

fix the unit test 'SolveFactoryTest' which failed due to the added out of bounds check; additionally fixed the test 'VariableRFCavityFringeFieldTest.TestConstructor'

removed bug. Total dist will be computed only when the solve() function gets removed from undulator.cpp

fix memory errors in unit tests as reported by valgrind: initialise array, check for container end, array deletion

reset output stream, fixes segfault in PeriodicBC when running multiple tests after each other (fix #570)

fix compile warnings: '‘bct’, ‘voffset‘, ‘coffset‘ may be used uninitialized in this function' and 'comparison between signed and unsigned integer expressions'
